TRIBE ("we", "us") runs the TRIBE app and website. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
1. Who is responsible
TRIBE, [Company address — update before submission]. Contact: support@mytribematch.life.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, sign-in method (email/password or Google), and your confirmation that you are 18 or older.
- Profile data: display name, short bio, city or town, and any photo you add.
- Fitness and lifestyle data: workout styles, goals, training time, discipline level, mindset, lifestyle and interests, and the "Tribe DNA" scores calculated from them.
- Career information: the career mindset you choose (for example entrepreneur or employee). We do not ask for your employer or job title.
- Approximate location: only if you allow it. Your device position is rounded to roughly 1 km before it is saved; we never store your exact position, and other members only ever see a rough distance.
- Activity: tribes, gyms and challenges you join, daily check-ins, progress posts, connection requests, reports and blocks.
- Text you give the AI tribe finder: the description of your goals and lifestyle you type in.
- Billing data (web only): subscription status and plan. Card details are handled by Paddle and never reach us.
- Technical data: error reports, device and browser type, used to keep the app working.
3. How we use it
- To run your account and show your profile to people you're connected with or share a tribe with.
- To calculate match and partner scores and show compatible people near you.
- To run tribes, challenges, check-ins and the progress feed.
- To keep the community safe: handling reports, blocks and removing content that breaks our Terms.
- To provide TRIBE Premium and process payments on the web.
- To fix bugs and keep the service secure.
Legal bases (where GDPR applies): performing our contract with you, your consent (location, AI tribe finder), and our legitimate interest in safety and security.
4. Matching and AI
Match and partner scores are calculated automatically by our own formulas from your Tribe DNA, goals, training time, discipline level and approximate distance. No outside AI service is used for these scores.
AI tribe finder: when you use "Which tribe fits you?", the text you type plus the names, descriptions, focus, city, schedule and member counts of tribes you can see are sent to our AI provider to suggest tribes and explain the fit. Your name, email, location and other profile fields are not sent. Suggestions are only recommendations — nothing happens automatically, and you decide whether to join.
We do not use your data to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Who we share data with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf:
- Hosting and database: Lovable Cloud and its infrastructure partners store your account and app data.
- AI provider: the Lovable AI Gateway and the model provider behind it process text sent from the AI tribe finder.
- Payments: Paddle.com acts as merchant of record for web subscriptions and processes payment details.
- Error monitoring: Sentry receives technical error reports when something breaks.
- Sign-in: Google, if you choose "Continue with Google".
Other members see only what the app shows them: your name, city, the traits you pick, and rough distance. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
6. How long we keep data
- Account, profile and activity data: while your account exists. Deleting your account removes it immediately.
- Reports you make: until they are resolved and for up to 12 months after, for safety records; reports are deleted when you delete your account.
- Billing records: as long as tax law requires (kept by Paddle).
- Error reports: up to 90 days.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time (for example by turning off location). You can also complain to your local data protection authority. Email support@mytribematch.life to make a request.
8. Deleting your account
Open Profile → Delete my account and confirm. This permanently removes your profile, connections, memberships, check-ins, posts, reports, blocks and any tribes or challenges you own (they're handed to another member if one exists). Any web subscription is cancelled. You can also email us to request deletion.
9. Children
TRIBE is only for people aged 18 and over. We remove accounts we learn belong to anyone younger.
10. Changes
We'll update this page and the date above when this policy changes, and tell you in the app about important changes.
